## About
SORREL & CO is an evidence-led skincare brand founded by Kris and Connor Smith, a mother and son; Connor is a microbiologist. Born in Montana, made in the USA. We select products based on published research, disclose the full ingredient list on every product page, and grade the evidence behind every key active with a checkable citation. We publish the studies so anyone can verify the claims for themselves.

## What Sorrel is — and is not
- Sorrel selects and grades formulations against published research; we do not author the chemistry, and we make no claims about clinical dosing of finished products. The evidence grades and citations are our work; the formulas are curated.
- Sorrel is an honest, transparent brand — not a "free-from" or "clean beauty" brand. Disclosure runs both directions: each product page states exactly what is in that formula and, where it matters to a buyer, what is not, checkable against the full ingredient list on the same page.
- Some Sorrel products contain ingredients that will not suit some people — the Renewal Cream contains fragrance, the Balance Gel and Dew Cream contain citrus peel oils, the Firming Cream contains almond oil and the preservative blend Phenonip. Every one is disclosed on its own page, and the 30-day guarantee exists for exactly this: if a disclosed ingredient does not suit your skin, return it for a full refund.
- On fragrance, the objection is disclosure, not scent: a "Fragrance" or "Parfum" line on an ingredient list can legally conceal many individual compounds as a trade secret. A named scent-carrying botanical like tea tree oil is a disclosed ingredient anyone can look up and evaluate. Sorrel discloses; it does not hide ingredients behind that line, and it does not argue synthetic versus natural.
