Sorrel Creator Program Terms
Effective July 15, 2026 · Version 1.1
These terms govern the Sorrel Creator Program (the “Program”), operated by Sorrel & Co (“Sorrel,” “we,” “us”) at sorrel.skin. By applying to the Program, checking the agreement box on the application, or participating after acceptance, you agree to these terms. We wrote them in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask before you agree — kris@sorrel.skin.
1. The program
The Program pays independent creators a commission for referring customers to sorrel.skin through a personal tracked link. It is an educational partnership, not an influencer marketplace — we accept people who teach their audiences honestly about skin and ingredients.
2. Eligibility and acceptance
To participate you must be at least 18 years old, reside in the United States, and complete our application. Acceptance is at our sole discretion, and we may decline any application without stating a reason. Membership is personal to you and may not be sold, transferred, or shared. Some tiers of the Program are by invitation only.
3. Your link and how tracking works
When accepted, you receive a personal referral link. Commissions are earned only on orders our system attributes to your link. Attribution works as follows: a referral is recorded when a visitor reaches sorrel.skin through your link; the tracking window is 90 days from the most recent click (last click wins if the customer used more than one creator’s link); attribution can also tie to a referred customer’s email as supported by our creator platform.
The Program uses links only. There are no creator discount codes, and commissions are not paid on orders we cannot attribute to your link. Orders you place yourself, or that are placed through your own link on your behalf, do not earn commission.
4. Commissions
Commission is a percentage of net sales — the amount the customer actually paid for products, after any discounts, and excluding shipping, taxes, refunds, and chargebacks. Your commission rates, including the higher rate paid on a referred customer’s first order and the rate paid on that customer’s repeat orders during your attribution period, are stated in your acceptance materials and shown in your creator dashboard. Certain products are excluded from commission; the current list appears in your dashboard.
Referrals are reviewed and approved manually. Because we offer a 30-day full-refund guarantee, referrals are held at least 30 days before approval. Referrals for refunded, charged-back, cancelled, or fraudulent orders are declined, and any commission already credited for such an order may be reversed.
5. Bonuses
We pay milestone bonuses as you bring new customers: $50 at 10 lifetime new customers, $200 at 25, $500 at 50, and $1,250 at 100. Milestones are verified manually before a bonus is granted.
If you refer another creator who is accepted into the Program, you earn a one-time $50 store-credit bonus after that creator reaches 5 new customers. Referral bonuses apply one level only. This is not a multi-level program, and no one earns anything from recruiting alone.
6. Getting paid
The default payment method is Sorrel store credit, paid monthly, with a $10 minimum. Payment by bank transfer is available on request after we receive a completed IRS Form W-9 from you. You are responsible for your own taxes; where required, we will issue a Form 1099. Store credit applies to purchases on sorrel.skin and does not combine with other discounts.
7. Content rules
Two rules are non-negotiable.
Disclose, every time. Every post, video, story, or page that includes your link or promotes Sorrel must carry a clear and conspicuous disclosure of your material connection to us — “#ad,” “paid partnership,” or plain words like “I earn a commission if you buy through my link” — placed where your audience will actually see it, consistent with the FTC’s Endorsement Guides. Platform disclosure tools are good; plain language is better; both is best.
Say only what’s true. Our products are cosmetics. You may describe what skin looks and feels like; you may not make drug claims — no “treats,” “cures,” “heals,” “prevents,” and no disease names. Do not promise results, invent statistics, or describe experiences you haven’t had. Do not make income claims about the Program — no earnings screenshots and no representations of what anyone might make. We provide a plain-English claims guide when you’re accepted; follow it. We’ll flag a first violation and work with you to fix it. Repeat violations end participation.
8. What’s not allowed
The following are grounds for immediate termination and forfeiture of pending referrals: self-referrals or incentivizing purchases through your own link; posting your link on coupon, deal, or cashback sites; bidding on “Sorrel” or our product names in paid search; registering domains, handles, or pages that could be confused with official Sorrel accounts; cookie stuffing, forced clicks, or purchased or automated traffic; spam in any form; misrepresenting prices, offers, or your relationship with Sorrel; directing content at children; and any recruiting-based or multi-level presentation of the Program.
9. Using the Sorrel name and brand
For the duration of your participation, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Sorrel & Co name, logo, and the brand assets we provide, solely to create content for the Program and consistent with the brand guide we give you. You may not alter our marks, use them in your account names or domains, or imply that you are an employee or spokesperson of Sorrel. This license ends when your participation ends.
10. Your content
Your content is yours. By participating, you grant Sorrel a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reshare, repost, and embed content you publicly post about Sorrel or the Program on our own channels and website, with attribution to you. We will not use your content in paid advertising without your separate written consent.
11. Independent relationship
You are an independent contractor. Nothing in the Program creates an employment, agency, joint-venture, or partnership relationship. You have no authority to bind Sorrel, and participation requires no purchase.
12. Ending participation
You may leave the Program at any time by emailing kris@sorrel.skin. We may end your participation at any time, with or without cause, by notice to the email on file. Accounts with no referral activity for 90 days may be deactivated.
When participation ends: your link is deactivated; approved, unpaid commissions are paid on the next regular payment date; and referrals still pending at the time of a termination for cause are forfeited. If we end your participation without cause, pending referrals that clear the refund window will still be approved and paid.
13. Changes
We may update these terms and the Program — including rates, bonuses, and excluded products — by posting the updated terms here and notifying you by email or dashboard notice. Changes apply going forward, never to commissions already earned. Continuing to participate after notice means you accept the changes.
14. Confidentiality
Your specific commission rates, acceptance materials, and non-public Program information are confidential. Don’t publish them.
15. Honest limits
The Program is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee any level of earnings, traffic, conversions, or the uninterrupted operation of tracking. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sorrel’s total liability arising out of the Program is limited to the commissions earned but unpaid at the time the claim arises, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
16. Responsibility for your content
You are responsible for the content you publish. You agree to indemnify and hold Sorrel harmless from claims arising out of your content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right, including FTC disclosure requirements.
17. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Yellowstone County, Montana, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
