Repair Serum with Snail Mucin & Centella

Use for faster barrier recovery after over-exfoliation, sun exposure, or a rough skincare week. Delivers snail secretion filtrate alongside one of the better-documented botanical anti-inflammatories. Works as a daily base layer for reactive skin or as a targeted recovery treatment when needed. Targets a real skincare gap - most recovery products calm without rebuilding. This one does both.
The Ingredients: Purified Water, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Glycerin, Centella Asiatica Extract, Asiaticoside, Madecassoside, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Allantoin, Niacinamide, Hydroxyethylcellulose, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

The Science Details:
Documented wound-healing activity - Snail secretion filtrate contains glycoproteins, glycolic acid, and peptide fractions with measurable tissue repair properties (Brieva 2008).
Collagen synthesis stimulation - Centella asiatica's asiaticoside and madecassoside upregulate collagen I and III production in fibroblasts (Bylka 2014).
Anti-inflammatory cascade reduction - madecassoside inhibits the NF-κB pathway, reducing the inflammatory signaling that slows barrier recovery.
Hydration scaffold - hyaluronic acid provides the water-binding environment that supports active barrier repair.
Targets a real skincare gap - distressed skin needs rebuilding, not just calming. These two actives address both requirements.

Why This Product Works
Snail Secretion Filtrate has an unusual origin story in dermatology: it was observed in practice before it was studied in labs. Snail farmers handling Helix aspersa noticed that their hands healed faster and remained smoother than the surrounding skin. Subsequent analysis of the secretion identified a complex mixture of glycoproteins with enzymatic activity, hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid, and various peptide fractions -components with individually documented roles in tissue repair and hydration.
The research on snail mucin is less deep than the literature on retinol or niacinamide - there are fewer large RCTs and more in-vitro mechanistic studies. What exists is consistent and plausible: the secretion creates an environment that supports tissue repair through multiple components rather than a single active mechanism. That is different from a single-molecule active and should be evaluated on different terms.
Centella asiatica's active triterpenoids -asiaticoside and madecassoside - have independent and well-characterized evidence. Asiaticoside stimulates fibroblast collagen synthesis. Madecassoside inhibits NF-κB-mediated inflammation. Together they address the two deficits that define distressed skin: inadequate collagen production and excessive inflammatory signaling. The combination with snail mucin creates layered coverage across the full recovery pathway.
A note on expectations: this serum is most effective used consistently during periods of barrier stress - after introducing a new active, after a sun-heavy weekend, or as a daily base layer for chronically reactive skin types. It is not a mask or intensive treatment; it is a daily formula that supports ongoing barrier function. Recovery is not a single event - it is a maintained condition.
What's not in it: No synthetic fragrance, no essential oils, no alcohol, no actives that further challenge a compromised barrier.
Suggested use: Apply 3–5 drops to clean skin morning and/or evening before moisturizer. Particularly effective during barrier recovery periods or as a daily base for reactive skin.
Caution: For external use only. If irritation develops, discontinue use. If product enters eye, flush thoroughly with water. If accidentally ingested, call a physician.
Warning: This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the safety seal is damaged or missing. Store in a cool, dry place.
